What is Pornography? Pornography means videos, pictures, writings and other media intended to cause sexual arousal. Pornography has often been blamed for a lot of aberrant sexual behaviour. Does the use of pornography result in any of these? Does pornography break sexual inhibitions? Not much, because people are generally very rigid about their inhibitions and a simple viewing/reading of pornography is not likely to break those inhibitions. Similarly, attitude is something that develops over a period of years and it can’t be changed by simply watching a pornography film. Would you believe that if your partner has never consented to oral sex before, will give in to oral sex after being sexually aroused by viewing the videos? If it happens it’s rare.
All couples mostly have a sexual frequency designed into their timetable. Watching a porn film is not likely to alter that frequency.
Substantially sexual frequency will be increased because of other factors like more sexual satisfaction, but not because of viewing of pornography.
We can all learn a few things from pornography.
Always be a willing partner in sex in your domestic life.
Use dirty words to enhance your sexual experience.
Try different sexual positions.
Try having sex in different places.
Pornography satisfies your fantasy.
Pornography leads to masturbation, which lessens the sexual tension.
It encourages use of condoms in any sexual encounter.
Pornography can become educational if it includes the idea of Romance, Passion, Monogamy, Foreplay, Afterplay and Sexual Communication between couples. Of course, if it has a good story, viewers are more likely to be receptive.
Thinking that Pornography is the cause of aberrant sexual behaviour, is a MYTH.
